On May 30, 2024, the Philippine Association of Legitimate Service Contractors (PALSCON) held its 405th General Membership Meeting at the Meridian Room, Luxent Hotel, Timog Avenue, Quezon City. The event proved to be both fruitful and enlightening, featuring distinguished guest speakers from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), who shared crucial and timely topics with our members.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Atty. Reymund S. Bumanglag, Revenue Officer II-Assessment, Ms. Diane Paguibitan, Revenue Officer I, and Mr. Joahkim Reyes, Revenue Officer I from the BIR, for their comprehensive presentation on "Tax Talks: RA 11976 or The Ease of Paying Taxes Law." Their insights were invaluable to our understanding of this significant legislation.

Also, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Ms. Cae Ronisia Capupus, Labor and Employment Officer III in the Policy and Program Development Division of the Bureau of Working Conditions, and Atty. Carlo Casabar, for their expert discussion on "D.O. No. 242 - New IRR on Service Charge Law." Their knowledge and expertise greatly contributed to the success of our meeting.
