July 03, 2026
On June 30, 2026, at the House of Representatives in Quezon City, the Philippine Association of Legitimate Service Contractors, Inc. (PALSCON) was deeply honored to be among the organizations representing the employers' sector during the congressional hearing of the House Committee on Labor and Employment on the proposed ₱200 Daily Wage Increase Bill and the proposed measure on financial literacy in the recruitment process. This meaningful legislative dialogue provided an important avenue for stakeholders to exchange perspectives on policies that will shape the future of employment, business sustainability, and the welfare of millions of Filipino workers. Congress continued its deliberations on these measures to balance workers' needs with the realities faced by employers and the broader economy.
Representing PALSCON in this significant engagement was our untiring and dedicated National President, Ms. Maricar S. Suarez, together with our hardworking Internal Vice President, Mr. Raymund J. Alfredo; External Vice President, Mr. Froilan V. Florendo; Public Relations Officer, Mr. Lorenzo P. Consulta; PALSCON Member, Ms. Aya C. Barsaga; and our Past President, Mr. Butch Guerrero. Their participation reaffirms PALSCON's steadfast commitment to being a constructive partner in nation-building—working alongside fellow employer organizations, government, and labor representatives in advancing policies that are balanced, evidence-based, and responsive to the evolving needs of both Filipino workers and legitimate employers.
PALSCON expresses its gratitude to Hon. Ramon Jolo B. Revilla III, Chairperson of the House Committee on Labor and Employment, and to the distinguished Members of the Committee, for fostering an inclusive and meaningful platform where the voices of government, labor, and employers converge in constructive dialogue. We are honored to have been part of this important legislative discussion and to contribute the perspective of the legitimate service contracting industry. PALSCON remains committed to working alongside all stakeholders in advancing balanced, responsive, and sustainable labor policies that strengthen both worker welfare and national economic growth.
