Job Opportunities Building Skills (J.O.B.S.) at the Music Hall, SM Mall of Asia - May 9 2024

On May 9, 2024, the SM Mall of Asia hosted the Job Opportunities Building Skills (J.O.B.S) Commitment Ceremony and Job Fair. Key officials from the Philippine Association of Legitimate Service Contractors (PALSCON) attended the event, including Past President (2014-2015) Mr. Arturo Guerrero III, National President Armando L. Gutierrez Jr., PALSCON Director Adrian Flores, and PALSCON Member Vineranza Sto Tomas.

The J.O.B.S initiative is a collaborative project spearheaded by the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) and JobStreet, in partnership with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), and the Philippine Exporters Confederation (PHILEXPORT). The primary aim of this initiative is to provide employment opportunities and promote reskilling and upskilling among Filipino workers, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of the job market.

The event marked a significant step towards enhancing the employability of the local workforce, showcasing a strong alliance between the private sector and government entities. The concerted efforts of employers and government sectors were crucial in making this initiative successful, reflecting a shared commitment to improving job prospects and skill levels for the benefit of the community.
